the girly weekend

we are dividing and ruling this weekend. the boys are off early tomorrow morning on the boat to scotland to finlay’s 5th birthday party. And the girls?? well we are going to have a fab time, hanging out, painting our toenails, maybe watching Happy Feet, probably splashing in some puddles, definitely going to the bun shop, almost certainly swinging on some swings, and if we’re lucky making some top hats and rice krispie buns for Mila’s 3rd birthday party…. happening this tues……our house….
ps: for all you people not from northern ireland, a top hat is chocolate, a marshmallow, a smaller dab of chocolate and a smartie.

jules and dave - can we just say how lovely they are. they are lovely. there we go.
we were out yesterday doing a shoot before their wedding in sept. started at the venue - cultra - the folk museum - haven’t been there for ages. have you been? ok so its been one stinking summer and hasn’t stopped raining, but even in the rain its looks fab! and they’ve done loads and loads to it. more shops have been added, a splendid new victorian tea room - simply, a cool place to have your wedding. there’s even a cinema showing old chaplin films! we did some shots of jules and dave in the old church and then hoofed off to get some shots beside some old barrels we’d found on an industrial estate and a few flakey walls…….
thanks to dave and jules for the afternoon. they were so game for larking about!

This was fun!!! We were in Newbury last week shooting Emma and Matt’s wedding. Their wedding was really beautiful, and they were so relaxed the whole day. Matt has the coolest Grandpa ever! Photography was his gift to Emma and Matt and he clearly is a really important part of their family. We nearly missed the flight on the way back but handily the flight was late - hurrah so no sleeping under a seat at Heathrow. Emma and Matt, it was just lovely working with you and your family.
