I did a family shoot with the lovely Holman family a few months ago, and in October, Oisin arrived safe and well. And just check him out. Delicious baby toes and squidgy hands and a big brother who gives a lot of cuddles.

The Holman Family Shoot!
Posted by Janet
31st July 2009
Please meet the very lovely Holman family.

Ma and Pa Holman.

And Master Holman.

This is one active wee guy - he was on his dad’s bike, driving the car and there was all manner of larking about. And he was truly delighted to show me his shoes. Which, as we know makes me very happy.
And the newbie….

We were in Mountstewart a few weeks ago with these uber cute little ones.

And, their fun parents…

a bit of bouncy castle action…

The gardens at Mountstewart are so beautiful. We had some astounding light, and a lot of laughs…

This amazing family will be heading off to Nepal shortly to live and work. Guys, we wish you so many blessings on your journey and hope that you inspire others as much as you have inspired us.

We’ve trying to catch up with some of our blogging recently. These images are from last year when we spent a weekend in a beautiful part of Donegal. We were staying in two houses with a lot of people, a lot of children, and enough food, wine and traybakes to feed a nation. It was a kind of multi person gathering for great pals who live in Nashville (more about that fine place coming soon!)
Firstly the house. Gorgeous and simple, and did I mention the roaring fires? The people : some we knew, some we didn’t, but it was one of those weekends of when we chatted, walked, ate, talked, walked and ate some more. Some of the guys had their kayaks with them and we did some crab fishing.
Here are some fav images from the weekend! To all who were there - sorry these took so long to post, but here they are!
Enjoy!

Graham Family Big Day Out!
Posted by Janet
30th October 2007
This was a great way to spend one fine Autumnal morning. After we’d remembered that we had in fact an extra hour to sleep (yeah who are we kidding - we were all up at 6.30 anyway despite the clocks going back…), we went out with Jane and Richard and their three beautiful (and very funny) children. We mucked about, did some leaping around and although the light was harsh we got some great shots. Here are some of our favourites! If you want to see some more, take a look at this slideshow.

Thanks for a great morning!

So, while Kenny is in Cairo photographing pyramids, Comhan, Mila and I were looking for pals to hang out with for the day. Our friend Adam and I took all five kiddos to Castle Espie, one of our favourite places. There are ducks, geese, swans, bridges, blackberries, gates, flowers and heaps of great wee paths for tearing about on. Connor and Joel took us to their special jumping place after we’d managed to nab a quick caffeine fix - and it was indeed a good jumping place.

There was some really great light under the trees, which meant I got some great pics of Lily’s gorgeous gingery hair. Isn’t she just so beautiful! ~Thanks Smith family for letting me take pics of your gorgeous gorgeous children.
Look at the colour of this girl’s hair. I love it!

So this young scamp here was a right monkey to photograph and had me figured out instantly. I was nearly defeated by a 2 year old!

And the big bro!

We had a great time this morning photographing baby Ruby in all her wonderful newness and her lovely big brother Tom. They were such fun to work with, and Ruby was so patient! At one point two year old Tom believed (probably rightly) that he could do better and went off to get his own camera and started taking pics of us!! What a laugh. Here’s a sneak preview of the just beautiful baby Ruby - and Tom cause he was on such great form!

Is this the next Ansel Adams?

the girly weekend

17th August 2007
we are dividing and ruling this weekend. the boys are off early tomorrow morning on the boat to scotland to finlay’s 5th birthday party. And the girls?? well we are going to have a fab time, hanging out, painting our toenails, maybe watching Happy Feet, probably splashing in some puddles, definitely going to the bun shop, almost certainly swinging on some swings, and if we’re lucky making some top hats and rice krispie buns for Mila’s 3rd birthday party…. happening this tues……our house….

ps: for all you people not from northern ireland, a top hat is chocolate, a marshmallow, a smaller dab of chocolate and a smartie.
