Rebecca and Kyle: Wedding!

Rebecca and Kyle got married over the summer!!! At times during the day it was a HOWLING gale - seriously. The rain was bouncing off the ground and then all of a sudden it was sunny. So we had an ace time dodging showers - and Rebecca was well up for clambering around in her dress. Kenny didn’t make this one as he was in bed with the dreaded flu. But I had the marvellous help and good humour of Chris to thank for helping me out on the day. Here are some of my favourites from the day.
And there was bunting. A whole stack of hand-made-by-the-groom-afternoon-tea-party-bunting. YUM. That’s what that was - I wanted to take it all home.
Turns out my 2 favourite things are now shoes and bunting. Who knew?

Breda and Ray: Wedding!

Breda and Ray got married in Donegal. There was a good amount of girly giggling (and some teary eyes in the morning)
There was one v cute flowergirl who became my new best friend. But Breda said it wouldn’t last. Sigh.
Yep. Stunning.
Breda and Ray got married in one rocking ceremony in Donegal. It was packed and the atmosphere was amazing.
Pub stop en route to the reception.
Kenny found an old run down cottage by the side of the road and then hauled us through some undergrowth. But man, so worth it.
And the shoes? I had both bride and groom shoe envy. Check these guys out.

This just might be my favourite.
Awesome guys. Awesome day. Just all a bit awesome. Esp those shoes.

Samantha and James: Wedding!

Samantha and James got married! Yay! It was totally lovely to work with both of them and we felt so welcomed by their families. Here are some images from their gorgeous day. I think my favourite is the cake - which is unusual for me as I’m not normally a cake kinda gal. But in this case turns out I am!

I loved the getting ready shenanigans at Jacqui’s house. Her dad had the best chat and there was such a feeling of excitement and anticipation. There was great bridesmaid giggling. And excellent Dad-ulster-fry-making. And emergency mum sewing at JUST the right time!

Lizzie and Mark: Wedding!

There were Jimmy Choos. Need I say more??
Lizzie and Mark really pay attention to detail. We loved so much about their wedding. The lads were all wearing really sharp suits and Kenny totally coveted the Marc Wallace shirt that Mark changed into for the evening.
Lizzie had chosen one completely GORgeous dress.
Shoes. Yum. Can you smell the newness?
What an entirely fab day.

Lynsey and Phil: Wedding!

I loved Lynsey and Phil’s wedding. It was TOTALLY rocking. Firstly they got married in January which I loved for the sheer brashness of it. Not many people choose to get married in January and embrace the darkness of our winter. They did, and it worked spectacularly! Their homes were such warm and welcoming places. Full of tea, chat and anticipation.
The boys were MORE than game for a good lark around in the morning. : )
How much does Phil love Lynsey??
After the ceremony, we had some fun here. Thanks to the kind man who let us borrow the side of his house : )

Stacey and Darryl get married!

Stacey and Darryl were pretty excited about their wedding day. I was too - it was all castles and crisp air, mulled wine and christmassy, cosy and ever so romantic. Stacey is a girl who loves a bit of sparkle and she picked this gorgeous necklace to go with her beautiful dress. I got a bit obsessed with shooting the back of her dress in all the glorious sunlight. It was great fun!
Oh and another thing that I really liked about their day was THIS DRESS!!!!
I love the lines and the simplicity of this.

We love shooting winter N Ireland weddings because you get to do great low light creative work - Kenny gets an unbelievable amount of joy from his lights. Is this just a male thing? If you are a female photographer and you love your lights shout! Oh, ok then - if you are male and you love your lights, let us know, - maybe we can all hang out with our lights one dark December day and do cool tricks!
Stacey and Darryl, you guys were great fun to work with and we enjoyed the journey with you. We had a blast on your day and look forward to shooting more rocking pictures with you!!
